Alice Periwinkle Velvet Sample

Our purple upholstery velvet is a luxurious and sumptuous fabric that can be used for a wide range of soft furnishings and upholstery projects. The fabric has a short pile velvet with a stick backing which makes it very easy to handle. The velvet pile creates a shimmer effect that catches the eye and gives the fabric a distinctive look. Alice Periwinkle has a soft palette of  periwinkle blue, lilac and pastel pink hues. The stylised botanical pattern was inspired by traditional folk art with its roots going back to the 17th century. It was painted by hand originally, using brush and inks, then scanned onto the computer where the colours were added. The colour palette was inspired by Pantone Colour of the year Very Peri, a dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet red undertone. The constancy of blue blends with the energy of red, encouraging inventiveness and creativity. This charming floral design with periwinkle blue, pastel pink and lilac hues was created to add a sense of happiness and calm to any space. Our purple upholstery velvet is a 100% polyester fabric printed using dye sublimation. This fabric printing process offer bold bright colours and durability. Coordinating wallpaper is available here
