A Soft Folk-Inspired Purple Floral Velvet

Alice Periwinkle features a stylised botanical pattern inspired by traditional folk art, with roots going back to the 17th century. The original design was painted by hand using brush and inks, then scanned and digitally coloured to create this delicate contemporary colourway.

The palette of periwinkle blue, lilac, and pastel pink was inspired by Pantone's Very Peri, a dynamic periwinkle blue with violet-red undertones. The combination of calming blue with warmer pink and lilac tones creates a floral design that feels both peaceful and joyful.

The short velvet pile catches the light beautifully, creating a subtle shimmer that adds depth and movement to the pattern.

Velvet Fabric Specifications

Alice Periwinkle is a 100% polyester velvet printed using dye sublimation. This printing process creates rich, vibrant colours and excellent pattern definition.

The fabric has a short velvet pile and a stick backing, making it easy to handle for a variety of decorative projects. The pile creates a subtle shimmering effect that enhances the delicate botanical pattern.

Ink

All inks are OEKO-TEX Eco Passport certified and do not contain chemicals harmful to humans.

The pigment inks are ECOCERT certified. This means they have been independently checked to ensure they have been made in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

Production

Our printer uses industrial digital direct-to-textile and dye sublimation printers from Epson.

Digital printers enable to offer a textile print on demand service with no minimum. This encourages customers to only order what is required inherently reducing waste.

Both print processes are waterless. The printing company uses 0.88kWh of electricity for every m2 of fabric printed.

Shipping

We use environmentally friendly packaging and ship using Royal Mail and DHL.

All orders are shipped using recyclable packaging.

Royal Mail have the lowest carbon emissions of any major UK shipping company.

Waste

The printing company produces recyclable and non-recyclable waste.

General waste is collected by an ISO accredited company and seperated for recycling where possible.

Bulky waste is collected by specialist licensed carriers and seperated for recycling where possible.

The company aims to recycle all recyclable waste by the end of 2027.

Fabric:

Fabric is printed to order with 3-5 days production time.
Once dispatched, your order should arrive in 1-3 working days.

Samples:

Samples are dispatched next working days via Royal Mail second class.

International orders:

Samples are sent via Royal Mail, and should arrive in 3-8 working days

Fabric is dispatched via a courier service and usually arrive in 3-8 working days.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

For orders placed outside the UK, local customs charges, import duties or taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations.
These fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in product prices or shipping costs.
